Meeting at Maxim's Restaurant, Tucson, AZ
April 3, 2002
1. Present were Gannd, Don, Arlene, Kirk, Steve, Michele and guests Morgan Canady
and Carol Garr.
2. Minutes.
The Minutes of the last meeting at Maxims on March 6, 2002 (no meeting on 3rd Wed.
due to Ostara) were approved with one correction: Arlene was not present.
3. Ostara.
a. The rain magic only produced high, thin clouds the next day. The energy was off centered,
but a good group of people showed up.
b. The "inspired" parts of the ritual went well.
c. Kirk did well as Seer, reading a card for each participant.
4. Beltane.
a. This year our Beltane ritual will be the TAWN Open Ritual on Sunday, May 5 at 6:30 pm
at Summerlands Stone Circle.
b. Earth Day is on May 4 this year.
c. Celebrants for Beltane will be:
1) Druid 1 - Gannd
2) Druid 2 - Kirk
3) Bard - Arlene
4) Seer - Don
d. For the ritual script, any "inspired" sections will be annotated with the major points
needing to be covered.
5. Pursewarden's Report.
We have $58.19 in our treasury.
6. Annual SSG Membership Dues.
a. The SSG Fiscal Year will be the same as that of ADF.
b. Dues will be due at the Annual General Meeting of SSG, which will be around Samhain.
7. ADF Provisional Grove Membership.
a. The ADF papers were signed and notarized by Carol Gar.
b. Carol Garr was given dinner in lieu of payment.
c. The SSG By-law Referendum was passed unanimously by the members in an e-mail poll.
8. SSG Pins and T-Shirts.
a. Kirk and Steve are donating lapel pins of the SSG logo to the Grove.
b. Gannd now has access to a silkscreen printer for t-shirts.
9. SSG Dedicant Program Meeting Dates.
a. April 8, 2002 - Don and Arlene's house at 7pm.
b. April 15, 2002 - Gannd's house at 7 pm.
c. April 22, 2002 - Gannd's house at 7 pm.
d. April 29, 2002 - Kirk and Steve's house at 7 pm.
10. Next SSG Meetings.
a. April 17, 2002 - Regular meeting at Michele's apartment at 6:30 pm.
b. May 1, 2002 - Regular meeting at Maxim's Restaurant at 6:30 pm.
c. May 5, 2002 - Beltane ritual at Summerlands at 6:30 pm.
